Hungry Ghost Night (餓靈追緝令)

In Taiwan, Ghost Month creeps up from between August to September. Follow the tale of two adventurers, the Taiwanese-born Sydney Wang and the American expat Robert Gasse, as they wander the land and try to stave off evil attacks during this month of evil spirits and bad luck.

Released by ITG-Soft of Taichung, Taiwan in 2020, Hungry Ghost Night is a top-down adventure game. Can you survive the night and solve the mysteries of the land?

Two versions of Hungry Ghost Night are available. The first version of the game puts the player in control of Sydney Wang as the main protagonist, whereas the second version follows along with Robert Gasse. Each version of the game has different stages.

Hungry Ghost Night (Sydney Wang version) was showcased at the Digital Entertainment Smart Content Development Association of the ROC 2023 Conference, which took place in Dali District, Taichung City in July 2023. It received a lot of praise from the developers and attendees at the show, for its gameplay that sits somewhere between The Legend of Zelda and Gauntlet, while also being set against a haunting backdrop.
